Mine had a type of cancer with which he could have lived for many more decades, but he was killed very swiftly by a completely unrelated viral attack. Sometimes these things serve to make us appreciate what we've got.

You make a good point about fear compounding the feeling of pain. Our emotions play so heavily into our physical being that that's most certainly why they're called 'feel'ings.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2687720633955485205.post-75787126413566363942006-12-19T17:17:00.000-08:002006-12-19T17:17:00.000-08:00It is great to know that your Dad is in good hands...It is great to know that your Dad is in good hands.I really hope for the best.
Congrats on the 9 eggs and the great surgery! Even though you seem to have been very much drugged up, you were able to follow the process and to recover quickly. That's great! I am keeping my fingers crossed for you. Good luck and kudos for what you wrote on the pain of infertility.Marie-Baguettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01149548077358647791noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2687720633955485205.post-31965678378038682532006-12-19T11:22:00.000-08:002006-12-19T11:22:00.000-08:00Hey, Sara, I wanted to say: I'm so sorry to hear a...Hey, Sara, I wanted to say: I'm so sorry to hear about your dad's cancer. It must be so hard being so far away.
I'm close to my dad too and I can really relate.
RoseRosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09703397920607628441noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2687720633955485205.post-34687697890029555342006-12-19T06:44:00.000-08:002006-12-19T06:44:00.000-08:00Wow, the fact that you could see them working on y...Wow, the fact that you could see them working on your eggs is awesome! I would love to see that!
I am glad the ER went well and yahoo for 9 eggs! Will they call you in a couple of days with an update?

I totally agree with you about actual pain and the fear of pain. fear, worry and anxious anticipation of pain make it worse. Now if I could control the fear and worry I would have it made!Stephaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12424867867454473982noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2687720633955485205.post-85648880702259053652006-12-19T06:35:00.000-08:002006-12-19T06:35:00.000-08:00Wow, what an amazing experience!!
I can't believe ...Wow, what an amazing experience!!
I can't believe you actually saw your own eggs...inceredible! And all through a drug-induced stupor - even better! I've read quite a few IVF stories by now, but it's never quite the same when it's someone I know (even though we've never met). Please please let us know how things develop. You have succeeded in jumping through so many hoops so far, keep you chin (or legs!) up.
Rooting for you!
RoseRosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09703397920607628441noreply@blogger.com
