Hindsight

Yesterday, out of the blue, Mystery asked me, "Do you ever think about what would have happened if our first IVF had worked?"

I looked at Eggbert and said, "what do you mean?"

He said, "you know, if you had gotten pregnant the first time, with a different baby."

My immediate reaction, "that would have been terrible!"

It's amazing how one's perspective changes, isn't it?

Big smile :-)

I'm sure Eggbert really is the perfect one for you :-) and I'm glad you appreciate it.

Thank you. I needed that - to be reminded that my perspective will change once I have a healthy pregnancy.

Wow, now that you say that...I have had similar thoughts (short flashes) regarding my 2 m/c when I look at our healthy Little Bean. Thank you dh for me.

I'm glad now that my first two attempts failed....I can't imagine having any other baby but Cooper. Hindsight is amazing.

An interesting perspective to remind us that there are redemptive qualities in every circumstance.
