So much for hope
They only got two eggs.
I'm devastated. I don't know what happened. The doctor didn't say if the other follicles were empty, or if they had already ovulated. I guess it doesn't much matter.
I'm sorry too--and I agree with Baby Blues. This is a set-back, there's no doubt about that (especially with all the work that went into the cycle). But take the information one day at a time. I hope you get good news for transfer.
Yeah, I'm also sorry this wasn't what you wanted. It always amazes me how different each IVF cycle can be. Hang in there... I agree that it's still too early to give up!!!
oh no, how discouraging. i can certainly understand your disappointment. if i were you i would be dying to ask the dr what happened with the other 3 or 4 follies. but i think it's perfectly normal for them not to get an egg out of all of them, right? and there's still a reasonable chance that one or both will make it to transfer.
I hope that both make it to transfer. I know it isn't much concession and I know you know it only take one egg-- no point in giving you what you already know. No sense in any of it-- except that this is an artform all to itself. I am glad that you have friends to support you in your class. Bummer about the teacher- though I admire you have picked your life up and decided to try it in an entirely different place. I am hoping the best for you.
Sara, how disappointing. I had something similar happen to me on my second IVF. I had 6-7 follicles before retrieval, but they only got 3 eggs, of which 2 were mature.
I know it's hard. I will keep hoping for you to make it to transfer...
Oh hon...I'm sorry that you didn't have more that two eggs. I know you much be very upset and disappointed. I hope those two eggs fetilize, grow and divide into healthy embryos/blasts that stick around for 9 months.
Oh, I am so sorry Sara! But again, I am going to repeat what everybody is saying: it is not the quantity but the quality. In fact, some clinics are aiming for 2 to 3 eggs per cycle, with pretty good success rates, because it avoids all sorts of side effects. http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/Health/story?id=1763779

I hope you have two beauties to transfer. I'm thinking about you!
There is still hope-- we're all hoping for you. Hang in there.
I'm sorry. It's certainly not ideal, and disappointing after going through so much effort. Hang in there.

We are all rooting for you.
Bonne chance.
This is a numbers game, so getting lower numbers then expected is always a blow.
Let me hope for you that these two dazzle you in ways you don't dare think of.
Hi its me again. I just wanted to tell you that I am thinking of you and hoping for the best.
